The federal government will re-arraign the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu before Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court, Abja, today on charges of terrorism, DailyTrust reports.

The re-arraignment is despite Kanu’s objection to be tried before another judge of the Federal High Court on December 23, 2014 on the grounds that he will not get justice.

However, a senior prosecutor in the case, who does not want to be named, yesterday said the federal government would continue the case against Kanu.

Meanwhile, counsel to Kanu, Vincent Obetta has said he is still the counsel representing Kanu in the case. He also denied filing any contempt charges against the Department of State Services (DSS) for their failure to comply with orders of the courts for Kanu’s release.

Kanu is currently facing a six-count charges bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism alongside Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawusi.

Meanwhile, the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra vowed last week to resume mass protest across South-south and South east zones as from today.
