Many Nigerians won't find it easy to celebrate Christmas this year.

This is because the country's annual inflation rate in November rose to 18.48 percent from 18.3 percent in October, data from the National Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.

Separately, food index rose to 17.19 percent from 17.1 percent in October, the statistics office said.

This means foodstuff will be more expensive, and with the current economic hardship, many will celebrate the festive season in a low-key mode.
