Politics Boko Haram: Ambode urges residents to be vigilant, calm

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has called on residents of the state to remain calm as the state police command and other security agencies are working to address reports of growing insecurity in the state.

ambode2.jpe He made this known through his newly appointed commissioner for information and strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde, the Lagos state governor urged citizens to remain calm but very vigilant as efforts are being intensified to rid the state of hoodlums, armed robbers and suspected terrorists.

Reacting to the arrest of 45 suspected Boko Haram members by the agents of the Department of State Services (DSS), who allegedly planned to attack Dolphin Estate in Ikoyi, Ayorinde stated that the Lagos state government under the leadership of Governor Ambode trusts in the combined efforts of DSS, police and other security agencies to keep the state free of terror attacks.
