The joint intelligent cooperation between Nigeria and neighboring Republic of Niger, yielded a good result when one of the most wanted leaders of the armed Islam Jihad group Boko Haram was arrested on Saturday in a border area between the two countries.
The leader who represent a faction of the Boko Haram was not identified at the time of this report. Joint patrolled of soldiers from Nigeria, Chad, and Niger, has helped in reducing the spate of attack on people in the northern part of the country, especially in Borno State, where a state of emergency had been declared by the Federal Government.
