The Boko Haram shelter at Gidan-Igwai area of Sokoto was invaded today by the Nigerian Army. This was done to control the entry of the terrorists from Borno, Yobo and Adamawa States.
Capt. Yahaya Musa, the Spokesperson of the 1 Brigade, Sokoto said that these insurgents were going to distort the peace enjoyed in Sokoto state, hence the routine raid was of a necessity.
He thanked the residents of the city for their usual support and cooperation.
