The Boko Haram group have entered into Mubi in Adamawa state, taking over the 234 battalion HQ, which is one of the largest military bases in the state.
This is coming a few months after they took over Michika and other important towns in Adamawa.
Fleeing residents and soldiers told SaharaReporters that the militants came in at about noon after attacking neighboring towns in an attack that began since last night.
At first, the Nigerian troops guarding the 234 battalion returned fire, but fled when more militants joined up with superior firepower.
