  • The allegation is that only Vimtim, hometown to CDS Air Marshal Alex Baeh was fortified by the military against the insurgents.

According to the Vanguard newspaper, no fewer than 500 houses have been destroyed in the Kubi and Watu villages in Michika, Adamawa State.

Residents in the area, speaking on the phone, narrated how there is no military presence in Michika and environs, which has given the Boko Haram terrorists the opportunity to plunder and ravage the community as they please.

“Since the complete take-over of Michika and Madagali by the insurgents on September 7, 2014, no single soldier has been noticed in the area. The only thing we see are jet fighters which come from Yola, the state capital to drop bombs and go back. Our people are helpless as the insurgents control everything in our local government,” they cried to Vanguard newspaper.

They have reported that the insurgents have taken to maiming and killing and strewing dead bodies about, to be feasted upon by vultures and pigs.
