Politics Budget 2014: Jonathan to Spend N2.378bn on Travels

President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to spend a sum of N2.3billion for local and international travels in 2014, according to figures in the Federal Government’s budget estimates which were submitted to the National Assembly on Thursday.

THE NATION reports that a total of N2,995,106,500 is earmarked for the use of the President’s Office during the period and N70million for travels by Vice President Namadi Sambo.

The President’s Office is also expected to spend N132,964,485 on maintenance of motor vehicles/transport equipment and another N483,279,988 on miscellaneous expenses such as publicity and advertisements as well as medical expenses.
