President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Hajia Fatima Shinkafi as the Executive Secretary and Head of the Secretariat of the Solid Minerals Development Fund (SMDF).
The new SMDF Executive Secretary is the daughter of a former presidential aspirant, Alhaji Umaru Shinkafi.
The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, disclosed this at the inauguration of the Board of the SMDF on Thursday in Abuja.
He said the government remains committed to the solid minerals roadmap to achieve greater strides in the sector.
“Mr. President has also approved the appointment of Hajia Fatima Shinkafi as the Executive Secretary and Head of the Secretariat of the SMDF.”
The board has Alhaji Uba Malami as chairman.
The members are – Mr. Ademola Gbadegesin, Prince lseghohi, Mr. Samuel Eze, Dr. Uwatt Uwatt and Ms Yinka Mubarak.
