Business Car Manufacturing Plant to be Established in Kogi

One of Middle East's biggest company, Iran Koven Consumer Organisation is planning to establish a car manufacturing plant in Kogi, Nigeria, Deputy President, Export and International Affairs of the organization Mr. Ali Elmi, said on Monday according to Punch.

He stated that plant would have the capacity to produce 60,000 units of cars yearly and employ the teeming unemployed youths in the state.

The Group Managing Director, Qualitrend Group, Dubai, Mr. Kabiru Ali, said Kogi State was blessed with abundant resources and that the company would tap from the resources, adding that the state was strategically located.

Governor Idris Wada said the government was ready to accommodate genuine investors whose concern was the socioeconomic development of the state.

He said the prospect of the state attracting foreign inflow of investment and employment opportunities for about 4,000 youths when the automobile plant was established was a welcome development.
