CHAN qualifiers : Keshi calls for caution against Ivory Coast

Nigeria’s homebased Eagles on Thursday,touched down in Abidjan for the second leg of the CHAN qualifiers against Ivory Coast.
The homebased Eagles have a 4-1 advantage from the first leg in Kaduna,looking to get a result that will see them through to the championship.
Coach of the side,Stephen Keshi,is however optimistic of their chances of qualification,but is wary of the dangers posed by Ivory Coast,adding that the job is not yet completed.
“We cannot afford to take our feet off the pedal because we won the first match,” Keshi said.
“The Ivorians are a very good side and we must prepare thoroughly for the second leg or face the prospect of losing out on Nations Championship qualification again,” Keshi added.
Nigeria have never qualified for the CHAN Championship,twice missing out to Ghana and Niger Republic.
If the team gets a favourable result and not concede up to three clear goals,then they will be on the plane to South Africa next year.
