The Federal Government on Tuesday cautioned the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Jama’atul Nasril Islam (JNI) from making unguarded comments regarding the fate of the abducted Chibok girls.
Mr Mike Omeri, the Coordinator, National Information Centre said this at a joint news conference by the State Security Service (SSS), the Military and the Nigerian Police Force in Abuja.
Omeri said that introducing religious into the already tensed situation would only aggravate the issue at stake, adding that religious leaders should caution their followers from statement considered inimical.
