Hope is rising for over 200 Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram insurgents, media reports have it that the Chibok girls would be released on Monday. To further confirm this, the Borno State government is said to have prepared a medical team to receive the girls as soon as they are released on Monday.

The acclaimed representative of Boko Haram, Danladi Ahmadu reportedly said the Chibok girls would be handed over to the government of Chad and then the Chad government will hand them over to the Nigerian government. It would be recalled that the Same Danladi was in the ceasefire deal reached in Saudi Arabia along side Chad leader and Principal Private Secretary to President Goodluck Jonathan. But the ceasefire deal has continued to generate controversies as there had been a number of attacks and reprisal attacks from both Boko Haram and Nigeria military respectively, including a bomb blast in Bauchi after the said ceasefire agreement.

With all the uncertainties surrounding the ceasefire agreement, should Nigerians still be expecting the Chibok girls to be released by Boko Haram on Monday? Is there an end in view to the trauma being experienced by the girls' parents, Chibok community, Bring Back Our Girls campaigners, all Nigerians and concerned people across the world?
