World number one men's tennis player Novak Djokovic defeated Andy Murray on Saturday to make the finals of the China Open tournament .
The Serb powered past Murray in straight sets,winning 6-3 6-4 and is now on course to successfully defend his title.
Djokovic will now come up against Tomas Berdych in the finals on Sunday in Beijing,with the Czech player beating Martin Klizan 6-4 6-1 in their semifinal game.
"I'm glad that I'm back in the form that I would like to be in, especially in these courts where I still haven't lost ever since I played this tournament," said Djokovic.
"Hopefully, I can finish the year in style, similar as I finished last year."
Meanwhile in the women's draw,Maria Sharapova made the finals after her 6-0 6-4 victory over Ana Ivanovic.
The Russian will now play Petra Kvitova on Sunday after the Czech player overcame Samantha Stosur 6-3 5-7 6-2.
