Clem Onyeka, the Nollywood actor who was recently shot dead during a fierce gun battle between armed robbers and police officers manning a bullion van conveying cash has had details of how he might have foreseen his own death emerge.
We gathered that the actor, who recently won the Best Upcoming Actor award had requested for an interview to celebrate his success a few weeks ago and while making this request, had asked the Entertainment Editor of the print media outfit:
“When will you write something about me - Is it when I am dead?”
According to an eye witness account, the van was ambushed around 2pm along DBS road, Asaba, by the armed robbers who were operating in Jeep and Sienna cars. In the process of trying to seize the van, the police escort resisted, resulting in a severe gun battle between the robbers and the police.
A stray bullet from the conflict also hit and killed Onyeka, while the actor was returning from a filming location."
