In a fresh communal crisis between the Angbaaye and Aturuku communities in Ukum Local Government area of Benue state, 13 people are feared dead and 20 houses have been destroyed.
According to sources, the fight broke out when two students from the Angbaaye community where coming home from school and met a barricaded road. The youth who barricaded the road refused to grant them passage and the two of them forcefully dismantled the barricade.
Other sources say that there has been a long-standing issue between the youths of both communities over cult and armed robbery issues.
The police are working hard to ensure restoration of law and order.
