Lagos High Court, Igbosere, on Friday ordered the Lagos State Government to conduct local government elections within 30 days.

The court declared the appointment of caretaker committee as unconstitutional.

Justice Abdulfatai Lawal made the pronouncement while delivery judgement in a suit filled by the National Conscience Party challenging the legality of a practise where caretaker committee were appointed to administer the affairs of the local authorities.
