A Federal High Court in Lagos has nullified the increment in electricity tariff announced by NERC on December 21, 2015.
According to Justice Mohammed Idris who presided, NERC broke quite a few laws in the process of hiking electricity tariff. The court also ordered that the agency revert to the old electricity tariff.
NERC was sued by human rights lawyer, Mr. Toluwani Yemi Adebiyi.
