A Federal High Court in Lagos today ordered the forfeiture of N449, 770, 000 recently uncovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC operatives in a Bureau de change shop at Legico Shopping Plaza, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Justice R. Aikwa of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi in Lagos, gave the order in a ruling on a motion ex-parte filed by an EFCC prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo, pursuant to Section 17 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act No. 14, 2006.
The money was discovered after a tip off by a whistle blower.
