Six researchers at Covenant University have been granted patent rights for 8 products, with the Head, Product Development Cluster, Professor James Omoleye, being a sole recipient of one of the patent rights and a co-recipient of 4 others
Professor Omoleye, a Professor of Chemical Engineering, was the sole beneficiary of the patent for the ‘Production of wine Brand from Hibiscus Sabdariffa’. He and Dr. (Mrs) Modupe Ojewumi, a faculty in the Department of Chemical Engineering, were joint recipients of the patent right for the ‘Production of Protein Nutrient from Parkia Biglobosa Seed’.
