The State of Maryland in the United States of America and Cross River State signed a sister-state agreement yesterday in Maryland.
The validation of the agreement will make Cross River State partner with key institutions in Maryland such as the John Hopkins International Medicine, the University of Maryland, Maryland Office of Tourism, Maryland Office of Sports, Maryland Centre, Bowie State University, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development.
During the event, Governor Imoke was given an award by Thomas Reuters in recognition of his development to land administration in Cross River State.
Martin O’Malley, Governor of Maryland said that the agreement will improve the already existing relationship between both states.
