The country of Georgia and its capital Tbilisi is located on the southeastern edge of Europe. The people who live there are like ancient people who have their own language. They have long been known as a people who refused to be dominated by any lord. In the 18th century, an explorer observed that the people of Georgia had realized the new idea of a society where the free-will of the individual overrides all other considerations.

Georgians are sub divided into smaller regional ethno-cultural entities. All that have specific traditions and customs, folklore, cuisine, and dress and may speak a different language. All these entities preserve and share a common identity, literal language, and basic system values.

Georgian Attires.



The majority language is Georgian which belong to the Kart Velian (South Caucasian) language group. However, some sub-groups speak other languages in the same linguistic group. The literal language comes from the Kartlian dialect spoken in the historically dominant eastern kingdom of Kartli. Georgian is the only Kart Velian language that is written and taught, and is literary used by all Georgians.

Georgia inhabits the ancient village of Svaneti, a village popularly known as the land of watchtowers. Other neighboring villages around Svaneti are Zugdidi near the Black Sea, Becho located at the foot of the breathtakingly beautiful Mount Ushba, and the Inguri River George.
