Politics Delta Tribunal Upholds Okowa's election

The Delta State Governorship Election petition sitting in Asaba, the state capital, has upheld the election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa against the Labour candidate, Chief Great Ogboru.

The petition filed by the Labour Party and its governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru was dismissed.

The lead judge has commenced delivering judgment in the case brought by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the PDP’s candidate Ifeanyi Okowa.

The Court ordered has asked the Labour Party to pay the sum of 50,000 naira each to the respondents in the case.
