The Nigerian Military has refuted the Boko Haram leader's video where he said that he had seized North-East towns and put them under an Islamic caliphate.
Responding on Twitter, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) via @DefenceInfoNG described Abubakar Shekau's claim that he had done something similar to what the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (ISIS) had done as an "empty" claim.
The DHQ assured Nigerians that the sovereignty of the country and national integrity is still uncompromised.
The Tweet read, "Any group of terrorists laying claim to any portion of the country will not be allowed to get away with the expression of delusion and crime."
