Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque has called on Chelsea striker Diego Coast to repay the faith shown in him and start scoring goals for the country.
Del Bosque called on the 26-year old to prove his critics wrong and show his worth on the international stage.
Costa has failed to successfully transit his club form into the national team, and is yet to score for Spain since switching allegiances from his native Brazil.
He is yet to score in five games for Spain,and many are beginning to question his usefulness to the side.
But Del Bosque has said that he has a lot of faith in him,adding that Costa should now start delivering.
"Diego has in front of him the challenge to show everyone that we have taken the right decision," says Del Bosque. "Maybe we are wrong, and it does happen in football, but I have a lot of confidence in him that he is going to do very well."
