The displaced Emir of Gwoza, HRH Muhammadu Idrisa Timta, yesterday, met with the President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan. The president it is said, has assured him that the Nigerian forces would soon help him reclaim his domain.
The embattled Emir, who was helped to descend the mountains alongside other displaced subjects in their hundreds, was received at Madagali by the Nigerian security forces, from where he was whisked to Abuja on Tuesday.
Throughout his stay on the hills of Gwoza, his displaced subjects had all the while shielded him from the general public. The media as well as some security operatives were told that he had long escaped to some unknown destination.
