THE Rivers State governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has asked President Goodluck Jonathan to dissociate his name and office from recent comments by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Ahmed Gulak, on the politics of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).
Gulak had, during an interview published by a national daily on Monday, said the presidency recognised Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State as the chairman of the NGF instead of Governor Amaechi, who won the contest
for the chairmanship in May this year.
