The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at the weekend, berated Governor Adams Oshiomhole for allegedly dragging the traditional institution in the state into politics, describing the phenomenon as a dangerous trend
State chairman of the party, Dan Orbih, who made the declaration at Uromi and Ubiaja in Edo Central Senatorial zone while receiving defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed dismay at the rate at which traditional rulers were being involved in the politics of the state through the instrumentality of the state government.
He warned that as the custodians of the culture and traditions of the people, the traditional rulers must be completely isolated from the politics of the state.
