With the new entry visa regulation by the authorities of Dubai (UAE), Nigerian single tourists may have been asked to take their business elsewhere. According to an online report, authorities of Dubai have come up with measures that will disqualify most under 40s from entering the country. The new rule is; to enter Dubai, you must be age 40 or above. Otherwise, you should be married or apply together with someone who is age 40 upwards, who must also bear your surname.

The implication of this is that most travel-desperate young people who have found solace in Dubai may have to look for somewhere else to go. This may also bring mean a set back for many Nigerians who go to Dubai for business purposes. People buy all kinds of goods from Dubai and sell them in Nigeria. Such people who fall under the required age may have to depend on third parties to be able to get goods to Nigeria.

Another reason the visa denial to Dubai can be painful to some is that, quite a number of Nigerians are already dreaming of having a holiday in Dubai to see tourist attractions like the the Burj Al Arab Hotel (7-star hotel), Palm Islands, the Burj Khalifa building which is the tallest building in the world and some other exclusive places in Dubai, UAE. Dubai which was once one of the easiest places Nigerians travel to in the world is now becoming pretty hard somewhat.

Owing to this development, Nigerian tourists, especially those that are single and underage according to the age frame of Dubai may need to find alternatives and seek to have their holidays and business trips elsewhere. Another option for such people is to wait till they get married so as to have unrestricted access to the beautiful city of Dubai. The uncertainty, however, is that the rules may even get stricter as time goes by. Nigeria is not the only the country under this restriction, some other African countries like Morocco and Tunisia are also included.
