The board of pan-African banking group- Ecobank Transnational Incorporated Plc, on Tuesday rose from its scheduled meeting in Cameroon, announcing the sack of Ivoirian Group Chief Executive, Thiery Tanoh from today (Wednesday).
A statement by the group also said Tanoh who joined ETI about 17 months ago as CEO designate in October 2012, becoming group CEO in January last year, “will no longer be a Director of ETI.”
He has been replaced by Albert Essien, an insider and currently Deputy CEO/Group Executive Director for Corporate and Investment Bank, with immediate effect.
