The Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has revealed details of 3 oil firms which reportedly aided former Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison Madueke to perpetrate a $115m bribe of INEC officials during the last general elections.

According to Usman Zikari, an EFCC investigator, Diezani used the firms as conduits for the operation.

He said the oil marketing companies are Auctus Investment Ltd., Northern Belt Gas and Mid-Western Oil and Gas. These 3 firms along with a man named Leonor Olaitan, were used by Diezani to lodge $89m out of the $115m in the bank, he said.

He said these when he appeared as a witness before the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday in the case of Dele Belgore (SAN) and a former Minister of National Planning, Prof. Abubakar Suleiman, who were charged with laundering N450m.

He narrated how the duo received N450m from the $115m Diezani bribe, with the prosecution producing signed documents as proof.
