The All Progressives Congress, APC has accused President Goodluck Jonathan of manipulating his party's; Peoples Democratic Party primaries in Ekiti state to favor Mr. Ayo Fayose.
According to THIS DAY, Dimeji Daniels, a spokesperson for the Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organisation said Fayose was teleguided to win the PDP primaries to pave the way for election rigging during the June 21 governorship poll.
"What this means is that the Jonathan presidency and the PDP have forgotten what happened in the past regarding Ekiti people.
He recalled how the former governor allegedly disrupted an Alliance for Democracy (AD) gathering at Matthew Street in Ado-Ekiti, noting that the likes of Chief George Akosile are still alive to relive the story.
He said Ekiti people would hold the president and the PDP responsible for every violent act of Fayose in the run-up to the governorship election and during and after the election.
However, the Chairman, publicity committee, Ekiti PDP Governorship Campaign Organisation, Mr Gboyega Aribisogan has described the APC's claims as false.
He said that PDP members in Ekiti had decided for a candidate of their choice, which the party constitution and electoral act recognised as the procedure for nominating a candidate of political party.
