A member of the House of Representatives, Bamidele Opeyemi,on Monday resigned his position as the Ekiti Caucus Leader in the House of Representatives.
According to the lawmaker, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Legislative Budget and Research, the resignation is to allow him realize his ambition of governing Ekiti State in 2014.
The lawmaker tendered his resignation in a letter addressed to the state governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and copied to the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and the Minority Leader of the House, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
