Prof Modupe Adelabu
Ekiti State Deputy Governor Prof Modupe Adelabu has urged specialist in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Children’s Ward of Ekiti State University teaching hospital to conduct a research into the cause of eye cancer among children.
The Health Commissioner, Prof Olusola Fasuba who was also present voiced his concern over the rising rate of cancerous tumour among children and advised parents whose children have been infected to bring them for treatment.
He also indicated plans by the state government to have a radiotherapy unit set up in the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado Ekiti which he believes will be the best in Southwest Nigeria.
