Gareth Bale struck twice to give the 'Los Blancos' 2-0 victory over Levante after losing 3-4 to Schalke 04 but progressed on 5-4 aggregate to the quarter finals of the champions league after going three consecutive games without a victory.

Carvajal said that the Carlo Ancelotti's men are set on winning their away match against the mighty Barça in order to show everyone just who is the boss of la Liga.

"It's 'el Clásico'; there are no favourites. A draw won't do for us, we're out to win it", declared Carvajal.

"There is still a lot of season left. Any other team would be delighted to be in our shoes - in the Champions League quarter-finals and with only ourselves to look to to win the league. We are calm. Without doubt it has been a bad month, but the team is the same, as is the system. We are all in agreement that now more than ever, we must give it our hundred per cent. We know that we are able to beat anyone."

"We knew that it was important to only be a point behind and to have that feel-good factor for the week ahead. We have taken all three points without conceding a single goal", he reflected.

Lucas Silva was also optimistic regarding their next game: "We'll be going to Barcelona set on winning. If we win, it's a giant step to winning the league - although if we lose, we'll keep on fighting." Marca
