Grammy-winning rapper, Eminem has found himself in the middle of a new controversy after he targeted American singer, Lana Del Rey in the lyrics of his new freestyle, which has been considered violent in certain quarters.
In the a capella freestyle(which runs for almost 7 minutes), Eminem mentioned punching the singer in the face twice as he references a February incident where Baltimore Raven player, Ray Rice was allegedly caught on camera assaulting his partner, Janay in an elevator.
Part of Eminem's rap went thus:
"But I may fight for gay rights, especially if the d**e is more of a knockout than Janay Rice/Play nice? B**ch I'll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance/'Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens..."
Del Rey is yet to tender an official reaction but she once admitted to being a huge fan of Eminem's creative lyrics and rap style.
