Etisalat Nigeria on Wednesday said it had initiated the first West African Masters programme in Telecoms Engineering as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strides.
In a statement issued by its Public Relations Consultants, The Quadrant Company, Etisalat said the programme was instituted in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria under its Adopt-A-School Initiative.
The statement, signed by Kenneth Obasi, said that some of the company’s other CSR initiatives in the education sector included career counseling and the annual Etisalat Merit Awards.
It explained that under the awards, the company provides grants for university students.
It added that the awards were to benefit students studying Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Business Administration.
