Chief Ambrose Owuru, the former presidential candidate of Hope Democratic Party has been granted bail at a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Chief Owuru was charged to court on August 2, by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a five count charge of forgery and obtaining money by false pretence. Of which he pleaded not guilty. to the charges .
Trial judge, Justice Suleiman Aliyu, in his ruling, yesterday, ordered that Owuru should produce a surety, who should be a legal practitioner and must have been in practice for a minimum of 20 years.
The case was adjourned till October 10 for further hearing.
