Business FAAN sets up new scanners at airports

Seven new X-ray scanning machines has been installed by Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria at the Murtala Muhammad Airport, Lagos, FAAN said on Tuesday. This new development according to FAAN was as a result of the expansion and remodelling of the airports.
Mr. Yakubu Dati, the GM of corporate commissions in FAAN said that they installed seven brand new X-ray scanning machines that increase security surveillance by ensuring illegal luggage's are not loaded onto aircraft.
He also added that other airports in the county gain from the scanning equipment, which include cargo screening machines, carry-on screening machines, hand-held metal detectors, 3-D body scanners, hold baggage screening machines and walk-through metal detectors.
