Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Monday appointed 8 new Permanent Secretaries to the state government.

Speaking at the inauguration of eight new appointees in Ikeja, Fashola urged them to discharge their responsibilities without let or hindrance.

“Residents of Lagos will hold you accountable, especially that aspect that demands that you put public interest ahead of personal interests," he said to them.

Fashola urged the families of the appointees to show understanding as their new responsibilities would demand that they spend more time out of home.

He said that the government would continue to ensure that the right people were put in positions to drive the state's development.

The new appointees are Mr Olujimi Hotonu, Mrs Oluwatoyin Adegbuji-Onikoyi, Mrs Jokotola Ojosipe- Ogundimu and Mr Michael Dawodu.

Others are Mrs Florence Ogunfidodo, Mr Yinka Olaniyi, Mrs Margaret Titilayo and Dr Olukayode Oguntimehin.
