Metro Father beheads son, says he lost his mind

The Adamawa Police Command today confirmed the arrest of a middle-aged man (names withheld in Ganji village of Gombi LGA, Adamawa for allegedly beheading his five-year old biological son.
Arrested along with him was a village head (names withheld) , who was alleged to have requested from the suspect a human head for a fee of one million naira.
The command's spokesman, DSP Muhammed Ibrahim said the killing occurred on July 24 in the village.
It was, according to the police, Alti Alhaji father of the first suspect who reported the incident to the police.
He reported that his son( first suspect) took his son (Alti Alhaja's grandson) to the bush but returned later without the boy. On searching the nearby bush, the boy's body was found, beheaded.
Ibrahim further revealed that “When interrogated, he(first suspect) confessed and pointed at a village head as the one who directed him to bring a fresh human head, at a cost of one million naira,"
He said he lost his mind when he was given the order by the village head.
The village head in question, aged 63, denied the allegation, saying he had nothing to do with the first suspect, and that they were not age mates.
The two suspects are under police custody for further investigations.
