A step-father identified simply as David, has been arrested by the Igede-Ekiti police in Ekiti State for allegedly defiling his 5 year old daughter.
The victim, her mother and the accused lived together at Odori Street, Igede-Ekiti at the time that the alleged act was said to have been committed. Medical reports conducted confirms that the little girl has lost her virginity due to the act committed against her.
The suspect has denied to committing the dastardly act, although he has confessed to digging his finger into the little girl's vagina in order to remove some dirt from there when her mother had been out to fetch water.
The suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigations have been concluded on the case.
