Metro FG to Train 2,000 Youths from the North East

The Federal Government has disclosed that it would start training 2,000 youths from the North Eastern starts currently under emergency rule in an effort to change the orientation of the youths and their perception of western education. These states are known for being homes to Boko Haram, the Islamic extremist group.

The programme will start with 1,000 youths from Yobe and Borno States, and then subsequently move on to Adamawa state.

This was announced by the Minister if Youth Development, Inuwa Abdulkadir, in Abuja to mark this year’s International Youth Day. He stated that this was done in order to prepare, rehabilitate and re-orient the mindsets of the youths from what they have been facing in the last few years due to the insurgency.
