Coach of Nigeria's under 17 female team,Bala Nkiyu is optimistic that the Flamingoes would do the country proud at the FIFA under 17 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica.
The Flamingoes are currently camped in Faro,Portugal where they are preparing for the tournament,with Nkiyu adding that the players are in top shape ahead of the competition.
“The only thing we need from Nigerians is prayer but with the way that we have prepared, we are only asking God not to let us disappoint Nigerians,” he told Brila FM.
“Humanly we have prepared well from Nigeria but we only ask for more prayers so that we can accomplish what we have been set to do.”
Nigeria is in Group D and would come up against: Mexico, China PR and Colombia
