Timiprey Silva, former Governor of Bayelsa state, yesterday apologized to the entire nation for urging them to vote a wrong leader in 2011.

Silva issued the the apology in Adamawa, the Yola state capital during the grand rally organised by opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) to welcome former Vice President Atiku Abubakar into the party.

He recalled that in 2011 he was in Adamawa State with elders of the Niger Delta State to plead with the North to vote for the son of Niger Delta, Goodluck Jonathan.

Silva said the Niger Delta region regrets bringing in an incompetent leader who has infected the nation with poverty, corruption and mal-administration. "The country is not performing, the ship is sinking due to poor leadership",he said.

Silvia then added that he was in Adamawa to team up with the North so that together they could salvage Nigeria by retrieving the nation from the pangs of deprivation.
