A man is facing accusation for trying to get marijuana into a state prison in Washington by attaching it to an arrow he fired onto the prison’s roof.

According to the employee of a Whatcom County sheriff, the man came out of his pickup truck and shot the arrow from his bow in the direction of the recreation area of the prison on the second floor. He, apparently, was a poor shot, because he missed his target.

The sheriff, Bill Elfo says that the man (who has been identified as David Wayne Jordan, 36) was arrested for trying to introduce illegal substances into the prison. He is also under arrest for resisting arrest and obstructing law enforcement.

There are reports that David Wayne Jordan had earlier spent 20 days in the prison earlier this month for assault and resisting arrest.

According to Jordan himself, he had been aiming at a squirrel with the arrow, but he could not give a reasonable explanation for the weed attached to the arrow.
