Politics Gov. Shettima Dissolves Caretaker committees for All 27 LGAs in Borno

According to Alhaji Babakaka Garbai, the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs in Borno, the State Government on Wednesday dissolved the caretaker committees for all the 27 local government areas of the state due to the "expiration of their six months tenure."

"Shettima’s action was based on the provision of the Borno Local Government Laws 2000," he said.

Garbai said that all caretaker committee chairmen should hand over the affairs of the councils to the secretaries immediately.
