Enugu state governor, Sullivan Chime has reconstituted the state’s Traditional Rulers Council to promote peace and security at the grassroots, an official said on Saturday in Enugu.

Emeka Abugu, state’s Commissioner for Chieftaincy Matters, Emeka Abugu, said in a statement that the 57-member council now has Igwe Lawrence Agubuzu as its chairman.

The statement said the council’s other principal members include Igwe Raymond Ezeh who is the First Deputy Chairman and Igwe Julius Nnaji who is the Second Deputy Chairman.

The traditional rulers were urged to use the platform to maintain peace and harmony in their different communities.(NAN)
