The Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Uamar Ganduje, has presented a budget of N233,828,850.593 Billion for the fiscal year of 2018.
Presenting the budget on Thursday, Governor Ganduje noted that the budget would be financed by projected internal revenue of N53. 8 Billion and N93.879 billion expected federal allocation.
He said the budget has a capital expenditure size of N151.93 Billion while recurrent expenditure has N81.928 Billion naira with the Education, Health and Agricultural taking the lion shares in the budget.
Ganduje noted that the 2018 budget is higher than the 2017 budget with N732.252 million while expected revenue is higher than 2017 with N4.543 billion representing 9.2 percent.
He said the capital expenditure is higher than 2017 with N13.6 Billion this even as the governor believes that the outgoing year budget has performed wonderfully.
