Guardiola wins first competitive game with Bayern Munich

Pep Guardiola got off his reign at Bayern Munich with a victory,as his team defeated Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1 in the season’s opener in the Bundesliga.
Starting the defence of their title,Bayern made known of their intentions not to relinquish it,running Monchengladbach riot in the opening minutes,with Arjen Robben and Mario Mandzukic opening the scores just inside 20 minutes.
Mandzukic could have made it 3-0 not quite long,but his header skewed inches wide from the post.
Monchengladbach got one back,after Brazilian defender, Dante,turned into his own net,to give the visitors hope with a 2-1 scoreline.
The visitors had opportunities to level at the start of the second half with Max Kruse twice coming close,but overall Bayern was the dominant team.
Bayern however got a penalty,but Thomas Muller screwed the effort and when they got another penalty,David Alaba made no mistakes,netting the goal,to help the Bavarians secure a 3-1 victory.
